I’m baaaaack!

Just got back, kinda decompressing. Just thought I’d share a sneek preview from the West Canada Lakes Wilderness.

Sampson Lake

Hopefully I’ll get a trip report up in a few days.

  1. “God saw all he had made, and indeed it was very good. Evening came and morning came: the sixth day”. Genesis 1:31

    Hi George,

That picture of Sampson Lake in the West Canada Lakes Wilderness is just gorgeous! All that God has made is indeed very good! 😉 <

  2. I was out taking my normal long walk, with full pack, Saturday morning taking the time to say my prayers and think things through. It occurred to me that I should text my wife and let her know how I was doing since last week in some high heat and humidity I arrived home a little worse for the wear.

Her response to me via text was, “Be still and know God”.

I wasn’t quite sure how to respond. 😉 LOL

    “Who says:
“Be still and confess that I am God!
I am exalted among the nations,
exalted on the earth.” Psalm 46:11

    • “Be still and know that I am God.” That has been a reoccurring verse in my life for many years. It seems like every time the hard times hit God lays that verse on my heart. 🙂 Your wife is a blessing, and thank you for blessing me with your comment!

  3. Lately I’ve been doing some testing with a solid fuel tablet stove. I extinguished a burning tablet after achieving a pot of boiling water. I looked down and saw in the top of the partially burned tablet the image of a cross. The tablet is all one color before it is lit. After I extinguished it there were two distinctly different colors and the dark brown image of a cross in the center.

I am not claiming any kind of miracle here. 🙂

All I am saying is that if you let Him and keep your eyes, ears and heart open He will remind you even in the smallest of ways that He is real and that He is God!

    Acts 2:3-4

“Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.”

  4. I’ve heard it said that a true disciple looks for God in all things, big and small. What a wonderful way to go through life. If you seek Him with all your heart, you can be sure that God will be there waiting for you.
